Welcome back Somerville, the 2014-15 year is looking to be both interesting and challenging, but we are up for the challenge. I hope the end of the summer finds every one well rested and ready to meet those challenges head on. This is definitely a year of transition for the SEA Executive Board, but even with the transition we are ready for the upcoming year.
The SEA deserves a fair and equitable contract and we are fighting for that contract, and the respect we all deserve. It is the members of the SEA that work day in and day out with the students of Somerville and Branchburg to make them productive members of society. While working this past year’s graduation I was hard pressed to find any graduating student or parent looking to thank the Data Collection Experts or to have their picture taken with them. It is only fair that we get a raise that is on par with the same people that are not working with the students.
Please feel free to contact myself or anyone else on the Executive Board with any questions or concerns you might have. The Somerville Education Association is only as strong as its members and all of you are the strongest links of the chain
Have a healthy and safe upcoming school year,
